Internal doors

Internal doors, hung square and finished properly.

Oak, painted, cottage-style or panelled: new internal doors for one room or every room, with the handles and hinges to match.

What a new internal door involves

Most internal doors are a standard size on paper and something slightly different in the house. So every opening is measured first, the doors are trimmed to fit with even gaps top, bottom and sides, and the hinges are recessed so the door closes without catching.

Where the existing frames and linings are sound, they stay. Where they are split, swollen or badly out of square, we will say so and quote for new linings and architrave, so the finished door looks right rather than fitted around a problem.

Door styles and finishes

The oak cottage-style door in most of our photos is the one people ask for most. It is not the only option.

Internal door questions

Can you do every door in the house in one go?

Yes. A full set is the most common job. Tell us how many doors and we will give you a price for the lot and a time to do it.

What about carpets and uneven floors?

Doors are trimmed to clear your floor covering with a consistent gap, so they swing freely over carpet, tiles or boards.

Do I choose the handles?

Yes. Bring your own, or pick from what we can supply. See handles, hinges and locks.

Where do you fit internal doors?

Across Norfolk and Suffolk, including Norwich, Wymondham, Attleborough, Poringland and Diss. See all the areas we cover.
