Pick your door

Start with the kind of door you need. Each page says what’s included, how it’s priced and shows one we’ve fitted.

New doors change a house more than almost anything else. The fitting is what makes the difference.

A door hung square, with even gaps, the handle at the right height and the hinges sitting flush, looks right every time you walk through it. That is the job Premier Doors does: measuring, trimming, hanging and finishing doors in homes across Norfolk and Suffolk. Premier Doors is a sole trader, so the person who quotes is the person who fits your doors.

  • Your own doors fitted, or doors, handles and hinges sourced for you
  • Existing frames kept where they are sound; new linings and architrave where they are not
  • Handles, hinges, latches and locks fitted and matched across the house
  • Floors covered while we work, and the mess cleared before we leave

How a job runs, start to finish

No surprises on the day. Here’s what happens between your first call and the last door being hung.

Call or send photos

Tell us what you need: how many doors, the style and finish you like, and your town. Photos of the openings help.

Measure up

We visit to measure each opening and check the frames, so the doors ordered are the right size and the quote is firm.

A clear quote

You get a written price covering the doors, furniture and fitting, so you know the cost before any work starts.

Fitting day

Doors trimmed, hung and finished, furniture fitted, floors covered and the dust cleared before we leave.

How the price works

Every job is priced on what it needs, not a flat rate. These are the things that move the number, so you can see where a quote comes from.

What affects the price

  • How many doors, and whether they are internal or external
  • Supply and fit, or fitting doors you have already bought
  • The door type: a standard oak cottage door takes less work than a glazed or fire door
  • Frames and linings: sound frames are kept, damaged ones are replaced
  • Furniture: handles, hinges, latches and locks, supplied or your own

What customers say on Google

From one kitchen door to nine in a house: what people say once the doors are hung.

Great price. Fantastic service provided by Ed. Sourced my doors and fittings too. Very professional, and this showed in the 9 doors he fitted for me. Very highly recommend and will be using them again.

Sam Brooks, Google review

This chap came in and got the job done (hanging doors) when I was let down by another person. He got on, worked quickly, excellent job done. Clean and tidy. Stuck to his quote. Definitely recommend.

Questions people ask before they book

Short answers. For anything else, call and ask.

Do you supply the doors, or do I buy them?

Either. If you already have your doors, we fit them. If not, we can source the doors, handles and hinges for you. Say which when you get in touch and the quote will show the doors and the fitting separately.

Can you fit a door to an old, out-of-square frame?

Older houses rarely have square openings. Doors are trimmed and hung to suit the frame you have, and where a frame is past saving we will say so and quote for a new lining.

How long does it take to fit a door?

It depends on the doors and the frames. You will be given a time for your job with the quote.

Do you fit fire doors?

Ask when you get in touch. Tell us where the door is going, and we will say what we can do and what it needs.

Will you take the old doors away?

Ask when you get your quote, and it will be agreed before the job starts.

Which areas do you cover?

Norfolk and Suffolk. See the areas page, or ask if you are near the edge of either county.
